Heba Y. Amin with her works and lecture at DAAD Gallery, Berlin (29/08/2019)


Heba Y. Amin participated in the group show titled ‘Deep Sounding: History as Multiple Narratives’, curated by Anna Catharina Gebbers and Melanie Roumiguière at DAAD Gallery on view from June 19 to August 11, 2019. The show brings together artists who were guests of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, with a shared interest in exploring the factors and background narratives that generate multiple perspectives on history. 

Alongside Amin, Maria Thereza Alves, Yael Bartana, Eric Baudelaire, Rossella Biscotti, Mariana Castillo Deball, Minerva Cuevas, Ho Rui An, Gülsün Karamustafa, Runo Lagomarsino, Maha Maamoun, David Maljković, Naeem Mohaiemen, Rabih Mroué, Octora, ALIAS by Damián Ortega, Arin Rungjang, Anri Sala, Erzen Shkololli, Sriwhana Spong, Nguyệt and TROI OI, Milica Tomić , Nora Turato, and Akram Zataari are participating in the show.

On the occasion of the exhibition, Heba Y. Amin gave a lecture titled ‘Windows on the West’ on July 3, as part of the discursive program presented by Anja Lueckenkemper.
