Sandra del Pilar's solo exhibition Wirklich, ich lebe in finsteren Zeiten at Kunstmuseum Moritzburg Halle (21/07/2024)

We are pleased to announce Sandra del Pilar's solo exhibition Wirklich, ich lebe in finsteren Zeiten at Kunstmuseum Moritzburg Halle (Saale), Germany from July 21 to October 13, 2024. The exhibition is curated by Manja Wilkens and brings together works from the last 20 years of del Pilar's oeuvre. The title of the exhibition "Wirklich, ich lebe in finsteren Zeiten" (Truly, I live in dark times) is named after a poem written by Bertolt Brecht in exile in 1939: "An die Nachgeborenen" (To those who follow in our wake).

Sandra del Pilar's solo exhibition is accompanied by an audio guide and a comprehensive catalog with texts by writer, literary critic, and scholar Margo Glantz, art history professor Hans Körner, art historian and author Wolfgang Ullrich, curator Manja Wilkens and the director of the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg Thomas Bauer-Friedrich, as well as by Johannes Körner, Thomas W. Kuhn, Lotte Laub, Alexander Leinemann, Diana Lenz-Weber, Rainer Metzger, Sandra del Pilar, Elizabeth Rosas Recillas, Marta Smolińska, Ursula Ströbele, Annette Werntze, Lucas Werntze, Gerhard Wohlmann.
