Azade Köker, Simon Wachsmuth and Eşref Yıldırım in the group show ‘The Spirit of Poet’ at Center for Persecuted Arts, Solingen (29/08/2019)
Azade Köker, Simon Wachsmuth and Eşref Yıldırım participated in the group exhibition ‘The Spirit of the Poet’ curated by Jürgen Kaumkötter at the Center for Persecuted Arts in Solingen, Germany. The exhibition is on view from July 5 - August 25, 2019, and is realized on occasion of the 150th anniversary of the poet Else Lasker-Schüler. In the ‘Spirit of the Poet’, the exhibition transfers Lasker-Schüler’s world view of resistance, relentless honesty, the longing for a peaceful world in the midst of chaos into the present. The exhibition also includes works by Maja Bajević, Hayv Kahraman, Hanaa Malallah, Eyal Segal and originals by Else Lasker-Schüler.
