‘An Exile on Earth’ exhibition tour (06/03/2019)
Çelenk Bafra, curator of the group show An Exile on Earth, together with the artists Antonio Cosentino and Zeynep Kayan gave a tour through the exhibition on 22 January 2019. The exhibition, on view at Zilberman Gallery in Istanbul from 27 November 2018 to 2 February 2019, is titled with reference to the compilation An Exile on Earth by Spanish author Juan Goytisolo and reflects on the spirit of exile as well as on the self-perception of Tezer Özlü, who spent many of her years in Germany as a Turkish writer who considered life as an act of leaving.
